About This Spot
Pete's Pizza Palace feels like a cherished neighborhood retreat, tucked into a modest plaza on Cromwell Avenue where familiar faces and warm hellos are part of the daily rhythm. This is a spot where the pace slows to allow for genuine moments—the kind that make picking up a pizza for the family feel like reconnecting with your community. The team here carries a sense of warmth that goes beyond merely serving food; it’s in the way they greet each guest with genuine care and how they seem to know many by name.
The menu at Pete’s isn’t just a list of pizzas and sides; it’s a window into traditions and small pleasures that ripple quietly through the neighborhood. Whether you’re indulging in a slice topped generously with sausage and mushrooms, savoring the unexpected comfort of their eggplant fries, or enjoying a hearty grinder layered with homemade roast beef, each bite echoes a sense of craftsmanship and love that lingers in the air.
Here, pizza comes with a personal touch rooted deeply in family heritage and neighborhood loyalty. The atmosphere is grounded in the stories shared across tables and the simple joy of comfort food made thoughtfully. Super friendly people here. Had to pick up pizza for the kids… They came up on Google maps and decided to give them a try. Placed the order on the phone and swing by to pick it up. The guys are super nice. The kids enjoyed the pizza .

The pizza is always to fresh and hot. We love getting the special pizza as we love the way it’s made. We’ve been coming to the pizza maker who works at Pete’s since he worked at Wilson’s in Windsor. We are super loyal because the pizza speaks for itself.

I've been going here for a couple of years and I've always loved their classic Greek Pizza. Great sauce and always cooked perfectly, its his family's tradition. I stopped in this past weekend for a hot meatball Parmigiano 8" grinder, let me tell you, this ain't your subway meatball. These meatballs were massive and took up all space in the grinder rolls, I had no peppers and provolone cheese. This grinder was a meal, a tasty, lick my fingers grinder, impressive! Whether you go for pizza, grinders, or any other menu item, you're going to get only the best high quality Greek cuisine. Pete will make you very happy.

My favorite pizza in the area. Staff is very friendly food is superb. I definitely recommend getting the eggplant fries. I am shocked at how good they actually are. I do not like eggplant unless the occasional eggplant parm.

Definitely a 5 Star Roast Beef Grinder. After traveling north from Quinnipiac University - just trying to find a sandwich shop open before 1PM* - I stumbled on Pete's in a fairly empty small plaza. I was greeted by a super nice woman who mentioned they made the roast beef in house. Hadn't had a roast beef in ages so I rolled with it. And it was a great gamble! For 15 bucks and less than 15 minutes she handy me a heavy, long brown bag that was warming rapidly form the heat of the toasted sub inside. It was huge - that's my leg next to it in the pic. It was delicious - chomped half down before turning the car back on. Pete's Palace is most certainly pinned to my travel map from her on. They mentioned that their meatballs were great. Can't wait to drop my kid off at college again! *Seriously, Connecticut has to be the laziest state on a Sunday..

I went here for the first time today and it was amazing. The Greek style pizza is cooked to perfection. I got mine with Fresh Jalapeños. The service was fast and the owner was very friendly. 100% recommend They have a good variety of Sandwiches, Pizza, Gyro and other finger foods.
